DROPVIA / CONTENT PROTECTION
Content Protection and Acceptable Use Policy
Explains rights in content, safe-use rules, infringement reports, and the proportionate enforcement process.
1. Your content remains yours
2. Limited technical permission
When you initiate a transfer, you grant the temporary, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide technical permission required to receive, temporarily buffer, route, transmit, and deliver encrypted transfer data to your selected recipient. This permission does not authorize publication, commercial exploitation, or unrelated use and ends when the service purpose ends.
3. Age and user responsibility
Dropvia may be used only by persons aged 16 or older; users under 16 are not accepted. You are responsible for ensuring that transferred content is lawful, that you hold all required rights and permissions, that you select the intended recipient, and that required notices are provided when transferring personal data or confidential information.
4. Prohibited content
- Content depicting, promoting, requesting, or facilitating child sexual abuse or exploitation, including sexual grooming of children.
- Non-consensual intimate or sexual imagery, voyeuristic material, sexual extortion, or material facilitating human trafficking or exploitation.
- Content promoting terrorist acts, unlawful violence, or violent extremism, and credible threats against identifiable persons.
- Hate, targeted harassment, bullying, discriminatory violence, or content encouraging suicide or self-harm.
- Content infringing copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy, personal data, personality rights, or contractual confidentiality.
- Malware, ransomware, spyware, phishing, credential-harvesting tools, or code facilitating unauthorized access.
- Fraud, forgery, impersonation, unlawful trade in goods or services, or content violating applicable sanctions or export restrictions.
5. Prohibited conduct
You may not send unsolicited bulk transfers or spam; bypass account, device, recipient-approval, quota, or security controls; scan, attack, or overload the service; use another person’s account or Dropvia ID without authorization; intercept transfer identifiers; resell Dropvia without permission; or misuse reporting and appeal systems through deceptive or malicious submissions.
6. Encryption and limits of review
Because Dropvia uses an end-to-end encrypted transfer architecture, file contents are not routinely visible to or reviewable by Dropvia. Dropvia does not represent that all content is screened before transfer or that every unlawful file will be detected automatically. Action may be based on credible user reports, transfer identifiers, security and abuse signals, accessible metadata, or valid legal requests. Inability to view a file does not prevent Dropvia from disabling a specific transfer route or restricting account access.
7. Abuse reports
Report a violation to support@dropvia.app. Include your name and contact information, the relevant Dropvia or transfer identifier, date and available sender/recipient information, violation category, explanation, legal basis or relationship to the rights holder, and safe supporting evidence. Do not email the file itself; state that the report is made in good faith and is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
8. Child safety and emergencies
Do not download, copy, or email material involving child sexual abuse. Promptly report the relevant transfer identifier and incident details to competent law enforcement and support@dropvia.app. If there is an imminent and serious risk of physical harm, contact local emergency services or law enforcement first. Dropvia may preserve limited relevant records and notify competent authorities where required by law.
9. Copyright notice
A copyright notice should include the rights holder’s or authorized representative’s name and contact information, identification of the protected work, the identifier and date of the allegedly infringing transfer, a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or law, a statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to submit the notice, and a physical or electronic signature. Use ‘Dropvia Copyright Notice’ as the subject and send it to support@dropvia.app.
10. Counter-notice and appeal
If you believe a transfer or account was restricted because of an error, misidentification, or overlooked authorization, you may appeal to support@dropvia.app. Include your name, contact information, the relevant transfer or account identifier, why the decision is incorrect, evidence of any license or permission, a statement that the information is accurate, and your electronic signature. The appeal will be reassessed; restoration is not automatic and depends on applicable law, security risks, the rights holder’s response, and competent-authority decisions.
11. Review and proportionate enforcement
Reports are assessed considering scope, credibility, evidence, seriousness, repetition, and user safety. Action may include requesting more information, restricting a specific transfer or routing operation, temporarily suspending a device or account, terminating an account for serious or repeated violations, preserving limited records required by law, or notifying competent authorities. Where practicable and legally permitted, the affected user receives the basic reason and an appeal route. Measures aim not to restrict more content or access than necessary.
12. No general monitoring obligation
This Policy does not mean that Dropvia generally or continuously monitors all user communications or files. Dropvia acts only on information it can technically access, security signals, and sufficiently detailed reports it receives, subject to applicable law and privacy principles.
13. Repeated or serious violations
In serious cases such as child exploitation, credible threats of severe violence, malware distribution, systematic fraud, or repeated intellectual-property infringement, temporary protective action may be taken without advance notice. Repeated or intentional violations may result in permanent termination of account and connected-device access.
14. Contact
For abuse reports, copyright notices, counter-notices, appeals, and legal requests, contact support@dropvia.app. Material policy changes will be announced through appropriate channels.
